The City of Wheeling administrative offices will be closed on Thursday, December 25, 2014, for Christmas AND on Thursday, January 1, 2015, for New Year’s Day. Both Thursdays are official holidays for the Sanitation and Recycling Departments. City services will operate as follows: •Sanitation/Recycling Departments will not operate on Thursday, December 25, and on Thursday, January 1. Trash collection will be delayed by one day for the remainder of both weeks. Neighborhoods regularly scheduled for Thursday and Friday trash collection can expect collection on Friday and Saturday, respectively. •All Police, Fire, and Emergency Services operate 24 hours a day and will be functioning as normal. Questions regarding trash collection can be directed to the Sanitation Department (304-234-3707). Questions regarding recycling can be directed to the Recycling Department (304-234-3836).
