Dear Family, It is an absolute certainty that the Antichrist will arrive on the world scene as the ruler of a revived Holy Roman Empire. However, it is less certain whether he will be of actual Italian descent or some other ethnic background. Several Scriptures offer the possibility that he could be Assyrian, Greek, or Jewish. But none of them offers us the definitive statement contained in Daniel 9:26. So how do we rectify these seemingly contradictory prophecies concerning the Antichrists nationality? Is he Roman? Italian? Jewish? Assyrian? Greek? He doesnt necessarily have to be exclusively one or another. He could be an Assyrian who is Jew born and raised in Italy, or any number of possible combinations. We dont know for certain, but history indicates that each of these prophecies will be harmonized when the Antichrist finally makes his appearance. Two thousand years ago, the seemingly contradictory prophecies of the first coming of the Messiah were all harmonized in the life of Jesus Christ, a Nazarene born in Bethlehem who came out of Egypt. With the benefit of hindsight, we can see how this was possible, but for the Jewish scholars who lived before the birth and ministry of Jesus, these prophecies were a topic of intense debate. Would the Messiah come from Nazareth, Bethlehem, or Egypt? The answer, of course, was all three. We shouldnt try and second guess Gods prophetic Word - we just know that in the end Gods Word will stand and Bible prophecy always comes to pass! Of one thing we can be certain, though, the outcome not good for the man known as the Beast of the Bible - Mr. 666: Revelation 20:20 ~ Then the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who worked signs in his presence, by which he deceived those who recieved the mark of the beast (666) and those who worshipped his image. These two were cast alive into the lake of fire burning with brimstone. Theres definitely some clues God gives us concerning the coming Anti-Christ: Paul prophecies about him calling him two other names, found in 2nd Thessalonians 1~4 Now, brethren, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, we ask you, not to be soon shaken or troubled, either by spirit or by word or by letter, as if from us, as though the Day of Christ had come. Let no-one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the Man of Sin is revealed - the Son of Perdition - who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped. So that he sits as God in the Temple of God, showing himself that he is God. One of the roots of the Greek word apostasia in 2 Thessalonians. 2:3 is aphistemi. It can mean to withdraw, depart, or remove, in addition to falling away. Before the King James was published, departure was the accepted translation for apostasia. Another related word is apostasion. Its the masculine form of apostasia, and is the Greek word for divorce. Since all three of these words convey the idea of a change of mind, it appears that falling away is the more appropriate translation indicating an apostate church; however, whether or not its proper translation is departure or divorce - this Man-of-Sin will not be revealed until its occurrence! Who is prophesied to stand in the Holy Place (Jewish Temple) proclaiming to-be God. This is the same clue Jesus alludes to in His Olivet Discourse of end-times (Mt. 24:15) >the trigger for the Great Tribulation - Daniels prophecy of the Abomination of Desolation Daniel 9:27 (NIV) ~ And he (the Anti-Christ) will confirm a covenant with many for one (set of) seven. In the middle of the seven he will put an end to sacrifice and offering. And on a wing (of the Temple) he will set-up an abomination that causes desolation, until the end that is decreed is poured out on him. So we see here - the first two clues of the Anti-Christs identity have to do with Israels Abrahamic Covenant, and the Jewish Temples restoration with its sacrifices and offerings being in full swing. No-wonder the Temple Mount is the most hotly contested piece of real-estate on earth. In fact, theres already plans in the making for the Temples re-construction. And no-one is unaware of the ongoing false peace talks concerning Israels sovereignty. The coming anti-Christ will have say in both matters, and when he stands in the Holy Place - beware - because the end which is decreed upon him will be soon poured out! Hes called the son-of-perdition for good reason-because the son of Satans end will be in perdition: definition - a final and irrevocable spiritual ruin in hell. Dont be deceived by all these false peace talks - and the UN peace keeping forces, these all will be instruments of the antichrists short lived reign of terror. For peace will not be achieved until the Prince of Peace arrives: weve all got a choice to make-because the world is headed into a very trying time? the world system or the Lord Jesus? Choose JESUS!
