The Copperas Cove Police Department responded to a report of a theft of money in the amount of $58,760 on Thursday at 11:32 a.m. Also on Thursday, a burglary of a vehicle was reported at 8:30 a.m. from the 300 block of Judy Lane where nothing was damaged but four speakers altogether worth $2,000 were stolen. A theft with criminal mischief was reported from the 1000 block of Courtney Lane on Thursday at 9:37 a.m. Some construction equipment was damaged and some was stolen. The total value assessed in this incident was $1,500. A cell phone and case together worth $659 were reported stolen at 11:22 a.m. on Thursday from the Copperas Cove High School area. A residential burglary was reported from the 600 block of South 13th Street on Thursday at 12:52 p.m. Nothing was damaged in this case, but money in the amount of $8,000 was stolen. Cove police assisted the Coryell County Sheriffs Office in arresting Daniel Fredrick Critchfield in the 200 block of Cove Terrace on Thursday at 3:09 p.m. with a motion to revoke for driving while intoxicated. Stolen: construction equipment. Total value: $1,500. Theft over $500 under $1,500: 400 block S. 25th St. Stolen: cell phone and case. Total value: $659. Theft over $20,000 under $100,000: 300 block East Avenue E. Stolen: United States currency. Value: $58,760. Burglary of a habitation: 600 block S. 13th St. Damaged: nothing. Stolen: United States currency. Value: $8,000. Criminal mischief interrupt public utility: 600 block Mary Street. Burglary of a building: 600 block Robertstown Road. Damaged: two windows and interior walls. Stolen: nothing. Total value: $350. Arrested: Daniel Fredrick Critchfield: 200 block Cove Terrace. Assist another agency (Coryell County Sheriffs Office).
