The Dalai Lama once said "Where ignorance is our master, there is no possibility of real peace." On the 12th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, it is important to remember that all people are all members of the same species; we are all humans. We live in a world full of hate, distrust, and violence. This violence and hate, which is fostered through prejudice and bias, can be quelled with love and understanding. Everyone has a family, culture, tradition. Why, then, should anyone be biased, prejudice, or violent against someone who is just like themselves? They should love them. We must love our neighbors, love our enemies. Love is the only way that evil will be eradicated from the world. Five For Fighting said "What Kind of World Do You Want; History Starts Now." So on this anniversary, ask yourself--What kind of World do You want? What can you do to make this world a better place? Love somebody, love everyone. Let love completely envelope your being. Through love, the world will be a better place. We will never forget those who lost their lives on that fateful day.
