The Economy This is by far the most difficult area inherited by the OBA. The area of greatest attention and need. So I lead with questions for your consideration and opinions. 1. Do you think that the downward slide of our economy is slowing, stopped, or getting worse? 2. Do you see any value in the plans of reducing Government costs (even before the implementation of any SAGE recommendations)? Where do you see more can be done? 3. Will reducing the cost of Government bring relief to companies who are taxed in order to support the size of Government? 4. Accepting there has not been as much focus on revenue generation, What are your thoughts of creating new industries? Has anyone thought of the recommendations of Senator James Jardine? 5. With reports of an increase in International Business investment in Bermuda in 2013 and the large increase in both local and international business, Does this show any sign of a turn around for Bermuda? I leave no opinions here but am interested in your views and opinions. Once they are in I am sure there will be some debate. Many thanks in advance.
