The Embu county government has been stopped from demolishing a 60-year-old building which belongs to former World War II soldiers. The county government and three departments have been given conservatory orders over two plots owned by the war veterans. In a case filed by the World War veterans, the four defendants have been restrained from transferring, conveying, altering, demolishing or interfering with the original registration or structures on the plot. The county government sought to build a shopping mall on the plots. One of the plots accommodates a commercial building with several business offices while the other houses the Embu Traffic police department. Officers who have been given the order include: the Embu Police Commander, Department of land and Housing and the Attorney General. #star
