"The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission has filed lawsuits against Dollar General stores and a BMW facility in South Carolina for alleged hiring discrimination. Their sin: they reportedly run criminal background checks on job applicants. The government claims that since minorities have a higher rate of arrests, excluding people with a criminal record from employment might be discrimination and should be eliminated."
