The Equilibrium Principle: Was thinking to myself, the reason for so much negativity in 2014 political campaigning. Attempted an amateurish psychoanalysis... I think the central problem lies in power equilibrium or the lack of it. When an entity (Congress) enjoys power for disproportionately long time (60 yrs), an uncontrollable urge to dislodge the entity by those in queue (BJP), unleashes itself. And when an opportunity is sensed, several by-standers will try to jump the queue (AAP, SP, TMC, AIDMK). Resulting in chaotic stampedes. Moral of the story: No matter how extraordinary, excessive power in the hands of a few will spoil the equilibrium, rattle the food chain and create a hazy cloud of gloom, doom and broom! :)
