They think in terms of right and wrong 9) Are thinking about how they look to others 10) They are motivated by fear, guilt, and pride 11) They seek to please God by their activities 12) What they do is important, not their faith 13) They think and talk in terms of "should’s and ought’s" 14) They operate on the basis of principles rather than love 15) They think in terms of receiving "curses" for bad deeds This list is a reflection of the thoughts and behaviors of the carnal mind. It indicates the underlying thinking of the flesh, which is caught up with selfish behavior and may be doing the right things for the wrong reasons. SYMPTOMS OF STRONG FAITH 1) Prayerful people 2) Grace oriented people 3) Walk by faith, not by sight 4) Minister to others without condemnation 5) Slow to give performance oriented cures 6) Quick to encourage and support others 7) Prefer to serve God quietly, without fanfare. Think in terms of what God wants me to do 9) Thinking of how they can minister to others 10) They are motivated by faith, hope, and love 11) Seek to be obedient to the leading of the Holy Spirit 12) More interested in motive than how well things are going 13) Everything is lawful, not everything is good or expedient 14) Being Spirit filled is more important than correct theology 15) They understand that those who fail are not unworthy of love This list is a reflection of the thoughts and behaviors of the inner man, the new creation, who is made in the image of the Messiah and has the mind of Christ We are not who we used to be, we are who God say’s we are, awesome spirit beings of infinite worth, whom God has handpicked to be in His family.
