The FGN through the Minister for Petroleum has just announced a reduction of N10 per litre on the pump price of premium motor spirit (PMS) that is the common petrol. There is economic justification for this at this moment other than an attempt to woo the electrorates for their votes. Now that the Naira has been officially devalued coupled with its fall in the currency market what has just been handed over is a Greek gift and whatever party wins the election at the center we shall all pay for it retrospectively. It is indeed sad that we have become pawns in the hands of our leader. We should guard our loin for a long fight when the payback times comes. The politicians are indeed fingers on the leprous hand. We have looters and we should search leaders who may a dark horse from a small party not necessarily these exploiters. We should vote wisely and not be decieved by this political bribe to steal our vote and go back on their words hiding behind grammatical semantics. Why was d reduction in the pump price not possible until less than 30 days to the election?
