The Ferry-Morse Seed Company, which began in 1856 in Detroit and was once the largest seed company in the world, is now merely a name owned by an international conglomerate, Plantation Products. Although Ferry-Morse once signed the Safe Seed Pledge, there is no indication of this on their website, nor that of their parent company. Do not trust seeds labeled American Seed, NK, Ferry-Morse, or McKenzie. Collecting quality brands like trading cards is anti-competitive and counterproductive to the maintenance of regionally-adapted, healthy seeds.
