The Flint Institute of Music is proud to present Jump Street Swing Band at our final Music in The Parks concert of the summer. Come join the fun -- 7pm Thursday, Sept. 18, at Rotary Park located on the Flint Cultural Center Campus. Dont forget your lawn chairs and dancing shoes. Be prepared to hear Jump Streets 17-piece big band of yesterday which includes 5 saxes, 4 trumpets, 4 trombones, bass, keyboards and percussion. Youll be mesmerized by their impressive repertoire of classics like American Patrol, Pennsylvania 6-5000, Satin Doll, and Moonlight Serenade. They dont stop at the classics though, the band enjoys performing contemporary hits by Brian Setzer and Big Bad Voodoo Daddy to delight audiences of all ages.
