The Funding Fallacy: the attempt to argue that a study should be ignored because it was funded by a group that will likely benefit from its results. E.g.: A supplement company that sells creatine funded that study showing creatine is beneficial, therefore we should disregard its results. Why does this fail as an argument? It does nothing to undermine the study itself, whose methodology is strong or weak independent of who paid for it to be carried out.
