The Ghana Football Association has allocated an amount of $30,000 in the World Cup 2014 budget to be used in purchasing local foodstuffs to feed the Black Stars during the month-long tournament The amount, itemized in the budget will be used to buy tons of local ingredients and foodstuffs such as corn mill, cassava paste, tomatoes, bush meat, smoked fish and other kitchenware and be used to prepare meals for the Black Stars. Presenting the budget to the cabinet yesterday at the Flagstaff House, the Ghana Football Association members explained that the Black Star players had in the past grumbled about the kind of meals they were served during tournaments and had requested for local chefs to be included on the teams travels.
