The Global Agenda Observatory The Global Observatory has been established by the International Association of Schools of Social Work (IASSW), the International Council on Social Welfare (ICSW) and the International Federation of Social Workers (IFSW) to report activity under The Global Agenda for Social Work and Social Development and monitor its implementation. The purpose is to gather evidence about the activities of social workers, educators and social development practitioners, which support the implementation of the Global Agenda, in order to give visibility and credibility to their contributions and to promote further action. You find an example for criteria developed by the European Region here. IFSW is inviting members to submit reports about the current state of social work and social development in their region. This can include examples of practice and professional education as well as examples of advocacy and policy action related to the first theme of The Global Agenda for Social Work and Social Development which is “Promoting Social and Economic Equalities”. Please send your contributions to your regional coordinator.
