"The God who comforts the cast down!" 2 Corinthians 7:5 – “For, when we were come into Macedonia, our flesh had no rest, but we were troubled on every side, without were fightings, within were fears.” How is it that Paul surrounded on every side, survived such great STRESS? And make no mistake, the inward fear he faced was just as much of a challenge as his outward enemies. The “what ifs” of life can quickly make one downcast. Paul shows us here, that the troubles began to wear on him. So what was the answer? He tells us in the following verse. He had a God who “comforts the cast down!” Most of the time, given such dire circumstances, what is it we need to comfort us? A good Christian friend. So God sent Titus to be with Paul. God will give you who you need when you need it. Be available then. You might be the person that God sends to comfort someone else.
