The Haight-Ashbury Street Fair Produces an annual family event at the Stanyan Street Cul-de-sac--- The Childrens Halloween Hootenanny Since 2006, this event has been our opportunity to allow the children in our neighborhood to enjoy the spirit of Halloween in a safe and fun environment. The event is usually scheduled on the weekend prior to Halloween and features free games, prizes, treats, costume contests and a very spooky haunted house. Many local Haight-Ashbury merchants, city agencies and organizations participate in our local celebration. All supporting participants receive a “Certificate of Appreciation” for their contributions. We would like to invite and encourage families, schools and organizations involved with children to get involved this upcoming October. Come join in the costume contest, the fun and the games.
