The House of Loves very own Terry Bickers has been getting a lot of mentions of late with his side-project with fellow ex-Creation artist Pete Fij (ex-Adorable) - the imaginatively titled Pete Fij Terry Bickers (https://facebook/petefijterrybickers?fref=ts). Their album Broken Heart Surgery (out 7th July) was funded by Kickstarter campaign which included rewards such as a used Bickers plectrum, and has been getting good reviews: Like a great late night Velvet Underground - 8/10 (John Robb - Louder Than War) A gently melancholic album thats really rather lovely (The Guardian) Critics have been describing Terrys role in the musical landscape as part of the canon of great English indie guitarists nestling neatly in between Johnny Marr and Bernard Butler. After winning single of the week for their single Out Of Time last Friday on Steve Lamacqs 6Music roundtable, the duo have been shortlisted for the Rebel Playlist, and if they get the most votes, then they will be playlisted all of next week on BBC6 Music.
