The Huffington Post reports that the Black judge appointed to Theodore Wafers trial has been removed. Theodore Wafer will stand trial this June for the killing of Renisha McBride: A Wayne County Circuit Judge recused Judge Qiana Lillard from Theodore Wafers trial Friday, citing the involvement of a prosecutor handling McBrides case in Lillards election campaign. The prosecutor was listed as part of Lillards campaign committee and sold tickets to a fundraiser on her behalf, according to the Wayne County Prosecutors Office.
