The Ice Bucket Challenge has been made. St. Ladislas Parish in Westlake celebrated over the last year their 40th anniversary with a parish picnic celebration today. The event was capped off with 40 individuals (representing the 40 years) who met the Ice Bucket Challenge in support for those who suffer from ALS (a form of Lou Gehrig disease). St. Ladislas also lost two parishioner within the last eight years from this disease. Per the procedure, our challenge goes out to the three neighboring parishes; namely, St. Clarence, St. Raphael and St. Bernadette. In response to the challenge, the parishioners immediately donated $250 to the cause.(see video)
