The Invention of Lying (2009), is a fairly decent comedy conceptualized by and starring the British Comedian Ricky Gervais, Jennifer Garner and some other well known comedians from both sides of the pond - Louis CK, Tina Fey, Jonah Hill, Stephen Merchant. Although the film doesnt have a particularly high rating on IMDB, it has quite an interesting concept and shines a unique perspective about our society, religion and humanity with a satirical touch. It contains quite a few great gags and bits by themselves that could easily be sketches on Saturday Night Live. It is fairly well written and although the plot is not very well developed or cohesive, the actors do a great job of conveying a world where humans can never lie and only tell the absolute truth. This leads to hilarity when Gervais discovers he can lie and quickly escalates into something much bigger than he imagined because many things we often take for granted are carefully examined through the film and the truth is funny. Its a bit off-beat but I would suggest you check it out at least once. :) imdb/title/tt1058017/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1
