The Invictus Games organisers are seeking 2 interns to work within the organisation from early July until 15 September. The roles are similar and will offer a broad range of event management planning and operational delivery opportunities. For further information see invictusgames.org/ The Invictus Games is a multi-sport event for some 400 wounded and injured servicemen from 14 nations, taking place in London from 11 – 14 September, with lead up events from 9 September. The Patron of the Invictus Games is HRH Prince Harry. The opportunity is offered to work within a small team who are responsible for the overall planning and delivery of the event, along with their agencies. Tasks will be:- · Database management including creating and mailing invitations · Support the marketing effort for ticketing and promotion of the Invictus Games · Support the logistics for the event · Work with the VIP and Hospitality management planning and operations · Attend a variety of meetings and take notes, provide meeting notes · Assist with meeting planning · Work on briefings and management of volunteers · A variety of other tasks as required · Attend the event and assist with tasks as required Successful candidates will be:- Good team player Approachable and friendly Extremely organised Methodical and resourceful Courteous and prompt showing excellent attention to detail Enthusiastic, energetic, flexible and willing. Displays the highest levels of integrity, commitment and discretion Delivers excellence Demonstrates enjoyment in their work Loyal & self motivated Skills required:- · English mother tongue standard, high quality written and spoken language skills · Able to use a computer, proficient in Microsoft Word, particularly Excel. · Good communication skills · Understanding of large events The Invictus Games organisers (Community Interest Company) will pay £20 per day towards travel and meal costs and meals and accommodation whilst on site as necessary.
