The Journal of Diabetes Research (IF 1.89) will release a special issue on Diabetic Nephropathy in December 2014. We invite investigators to contribute with original research articles as well as review articles that will stimulate the contributing efforts to understand the pathogenesis of diabetic nephropathy and the development of strategies to prevent and treat this condition. We are particularly interested in articles that add new insights into the pathogenesis of diabetic nephropathy, current therapy, and preventive population studies and their outcomes. Potential topics include, but are not limited to: Advances in pathogenesis of diabetic nephrology Advances in genetics of diabetic nephropathy Screening for albuminuria Clinical studies in prevention of diabetic nephropathy Treatment of diabetic nephropathy Patients’ outcome on renal replacement therapy Renal transplantation Kidney and pancreas transplantation Before submission authors should carefully read over the journal’s author guidelines which are located at hindawi/journals/jdr/guidelines.
