The Keystone UAS returned to action Saturday night at Blairsville Speedway. Five muscle karts made it out for the race and a new engine/kart combo was tested. A fun night of racing that had racers and spectators stopping to watch the show! Let’s go to the recap. In heat 1, Randy Adair looked to be hitting on both cylinders starting from the pole position to take the checkers in heat 1. 1.) 38 Randy Adair 2.) XXX Brandon Oldham 3.) 707 Paul Deasy 4.) 999 Mark Bergfelt 5.) Brian Cherry DNS (Carb) Heat 2, racing action was back and forth between Paul Deasey and Randy Adair through most of the heat. By the end Deasey took the checkers by a couple lengths over Adair. 1.) 707 Paul Deasey 2.) 38 Randy Adair 3.) XXX Brandon Oldham 4.) 999 Mark Bergfelt 5.) Brian Cherry DNS (Carb) The feature was shaping up to be a solid shootout for the win. The green flag dropped with all 5 muscle karts rolling at full song. Adair, starting on the pole, jumped out to an early lead he was unable to pull away from Oldham and Deasey, who stayed right there most of the race. Deasey was able to take over the lead and grab his 3rd win of the year and second in a row. It was an awesome show for the fans with most if the feature having the field in striking distance lap after lap. Thanks again to Stan Caroline and the whole staff at Blairsville Speedway for giving us a top notch facility and a track that was smoooooth as always! Next up for the KUAS is a ¼ point race at Stonybrook Speedway in Stoystown, PA.
