The Labour Party I Desire Badero Olusola I hope the Labour Party Think Tanks are collation factual information on the state of Ogun state debts and other liabilities to be part of our policy formulation when we eventually emerge victorious at the poll? If there is yet to be any Think Tank in Labour Party, I want to implore the party leaders to start working on this vital area as soon as possible so as to avoid any trap that Amosun might set on the way of the incoming government. As things stands right now, all the states IGR are centralised, denying the Local Governments their rights to generate their revenues within their domains and stagnating developments at the grassroots. These are my suggested areas where the partys Think Tank should look into, before the Party starts the proper electioneering campaigns; 1. Debt Servicing 2. Free education in its truest sense 3. Reduction in Higher Education tuition 4. Continuation of the ongoing road constructions started by Amosun after due renegotiation on each contracts to reduce the enormous kickbacks ongoing at the sector 5. Massive Youth employment with reasonable take home wages befitting their labour 6. Regular and up to date promotion of the teachers and other civil servants 7. Popular candidates must be allowed to test their popularities among the party members. 8. Resuscitation of our various farm settlements across the state. 9. Area of power generation and distribution across the state. Rural electrification in particular 10. Health and upgrade of our health centres should be the soul responsibilities of the LGs while the secondary health centres should be the responsibility of the state Govt. I will be glad to see a Labour Party government that is TRULY ready to lead and listen to the yearnings of the people without referring to Amosuns failures when he was in government. Government business is a serious business, lets have a well thought out peoples oriented agenda that can uplift our people out of poverty and not a bulk passing and blame game synonymous with the current government.
