The Lacehouse loves its history, so for all you history buffs out - TopicsExpress

The Lacehouse loves its history, so for all you history buffs out there, heres a trip down rum memory lane. William Bligh, a Captain in the British Navy, had a knack for finding himself in volatile situations. He was overthrown in a mutiny (involving a dashing Marlon Brando in the 1962 film) aboard the HMS Bounty, followed 15 years later by a violent Rum Rebellion after he was brought in to clean up the corrupt rum trade in Australia. We imagine after all that trouble Old Will could have done with a stiff drink. Today he finds himself on our backbar, memorialised with a fine bottle of golden rum. Come and treat yourself to a glass with a slice of lime and a bottle of ginger ale for only £5.
