The Lancaster County Conservancy is in the process of planning and preparing for a Williams Pipeline meeting (evening)…August 4…7:00 pm at Millersville University. This meeting will be part of an Environmental Impact process. We are attempting to organize individuals to present statements on dwindling forests, CL, Natural Heritage Inventory and County Planning. These statement topics should be addressed by different people. We must make an impression on FERC and Williams. The pipeline route has been moved away from Tucquan and Shenks Ferry for now but could easily and quickly be moved back to its original position. The individuals who will testify should be prepared for the following: 1. State your qualifications. 2. This is testimony only no questions and answers. 3. Speak to the permanent environmental and recreational impacts. 4. Be as specific to the location as possible. 5. Your statement will be transcribed. The scoping process allows us to comment on the environmental impacts before Williams prepares the required environmental impact statement. Think of the environment broadly to include, natural, cultural, recreational etc. If you would be willing to support these efforts please contact me …We will further prep for your presentation … 717-669-6723 – [email protected] Also let me know of others who may be willing to join our efforts. Thank you for considering this important responsibility… Mike Burcin CEO/COO
