The Left never got over the election of 2000, so even after the horror of 9/11, they still believed that we could only go to war for the evil of OIL. To be fair, all except the radical fringe were initially supportive of the first assaults on al Qaeda in Afghanistan, although when the search for bin Laden went cold, their support waned. Now well see if they can muster support for Obamas war on ISIS in both Iraq and Syria. Despite the protest rhetoric, none of these conflicts have been, or are about, oil... they are about preserving Western Civilization, protecting our way of life from a committed and most determined enemy, who would truly like to kill us all. ISIS, ISIL, IS, whatever, leaders are calling on radical Muslims worldwide to slaughter people in the streets of communities in countries that participate with the US in bombing the Islamic State. So, here we are. Watch your back, watch your friends and neighbors backs. Its important!
