The Lord has said; My ways, are not thy ways, my child. But you - TopicsExpress

The Lord has said; My ways, are not thy ways, my child. But you must learn to put your trust in me. Even as parents send their children off to school to obtain knowledge, wisdom and experience; that they might put said knowledge, wisdom and experience to good use for themselves, their family and those whose lives theirs touches....so God has sent us to this place of learning that we might gain knowledge, wisdom and experience and for all the very same reasons...that such knowledge might be used to our own benefit as well as the benefit of others in the future. The lessons we learn in this life are not merely ideas, ideologies, theories or concepts found in text books written by man but they include and intimately embrace such lessons as enduring to the end through pain, sorrow and trial. They encompass giving unto others when you barely have enough for yourself, turning the other cheek when it is cruelly slapped, learning to let hurt and anger roll off rather than take root and understanding always that God permits these things for our benefit....for the building up of our character and his kingdom. Sending our little ones off to school isnt always easy and as we see them struggle with peer pressure, cruelty and skinned knees, we too ache with sorrow and concern but do we keep the child home from school to spare him the interaction or do we advise him and send him back into the fray? Our children will never learn to stand on their own two feet, neither will they find for themselves the path to take with words and diplomacy to achieve peace if we coddle them every time theres an issue. So our heavenly father sends his children to earth....to learn, to trip and fall or be tripped and fall, to skin their knees and then get up to walk tall again. And so there is suffering, sorrow, pain and anguish as our spiritual muscles are worked and stretched toward greater strength. We watch as our loved ones suffer and we wonder why it is God doesnt step in...why when all else fails God doesnt step in to take away the struggle. He doesnt step in for the same reasons we dont take our children out of school when they find that a particular subject is proving almost too difficult to figure out. When God doesnt remove our struggles or make our pathway bump and curve free it is because he knows there is still something someone needs to learn...not necessarily even the one suffering but perhaps others who stand by and are touched by the event as well. My ways, are not thy ways, my child. But you must learn to put your trust in me. God never gives us more than we can bear and is ALWAYS there holding our hand, steadying our bikes and shining a light for us to follow to safety. We are NEVER left alone and HE is always mindful of our needs and is well aware of what we are truly capable of. We must learn to put our trust in him. Things are RARELY as WE perceive them to be.
