The Madison-Plains community lost a beloved member of the family this weekend. Mr. Jeff Spradlin was a caring teacher, respected coach, loyal friend and a good man. Last night community members gathered in prayer to remember and honor him. I ask that you keep the young men of our basketball program in your prayers. It will take much time love and support for them to get through the pain and loss they are feeling. I also ask that you keep our 6th grade students in your prayers especially on Monday morning. Please keep my son Joey in your prayers, he is in Mr. Spradlins class this year and is taking this very hard. Joey has known Jeff through youth basketball and looked to him as a role-model. I know walking into class without Mr. Spradlin there to greet him will be devastating for him. For all the parents...please know our districts top priority is the well-being of your children during this very difficult time. Counselors will be available throughout the district tomorrow. May the love of God be with you all.
