The Magnuson family is having a tough week, our Mom is at Regions hospital and has just had a heart valve replacement...the surgery went well and we expected her to be responsive shortly after, unfortunately she is not, the team at Regions has ruled out any brain trauma via a CT scan of her brain. She had three small seizures today and the hope is to catch the next one on the EEG to pin point the cause. We got her to talk to us a couple different times today...but she is so tired from the surgery and these little seizures and they wear her out so fast, we choose not to push too hard. The Doctors are confident that she will work through this and this is a common occurrence with someone who has had a major repair like this...all vitals look very good and are stable. I did get her to talk to me today and that is a good sign. She is here, she is with us, but just needs a little time to get her head straight and acknowledge she made it through it all!!
