The Mansion Le12 area of Leicestershire Saturday 8th February 8pm - 2am £25 pp (just a £10 deposit secures your place) his outstanding Leicestershire building dates back to the early 15th century and is bursting with history. In 1680 the original building was destroyed by fire. By the 1700s the hall had undergone many changes, with the north wing and second floor being added on. At this time it was believed the owner murdered his wife on the top story of the hall. He died shortly after and it is believed that he has been seen wondering the grounds holding his head! and his poor wife has been heard crying and seen wearing a black silk robe. In 1750 Lord Ferrers was resident of the hall. He had a violent temper and it is believed that in 1760 he murdered his steward through a rage of anger. He was tried and sentenced to death by hanging. These 2 souls are also believed to be resident spirits. Apparition have been seen by staff over the years. And they say that there are certain areas where they will not enter.
