The Member of Parliament for Sagnarigu Constituency Hon.Alhaji A.B.A Fuseini writes: In our quest to bring to the fore fruits our collective efforts in our beloved constituency so far, I will be chronicling a series of projects being undertaken throughout the constituency. The thematic areas to be Covered include 1. ELECTRICITY, 2. EDUCATION, SPORTS AND RECREATION, 3. HEALTH, WATER AND SANITATION, 4. ROADS, among others. On ELECTRICITY, we inherited about twenty-two (22) communities without electricity while some towns and villages also need extension of electricity. I am glad to inform my cherished constituents that we are connecting about 18 communities to the national grid. The communities include Sanga, Bukpomo, Changnaayili, Nangbagu-Yakura, Nangbagu-Yapala, Garizegu, Shigu, Nyerizee, Kpene, Kulnyevula, Kumbuyili, Bogkurugu, Salamba, Dabogshee, Dimale, Dugshegu, Ngarung and Sognaayili. Indeed all eighteen (18) communities have successfully erected their poles, electrical wiring have been done and duly equipped with transformers and meters fixed to each household awaiting formal connection to the national grid (rate of completion is about 90%). No constituency in the history of this region has been able to achieve this in one year. I dare say this is unprecedented. The remaining four communities (Kukpehi, Kpunjing, Namandu and Batanyili) have also been approved for prosecution in the next phase of national electrification to be rolled out soon. So by the end of our tenure, we would have eradicated darkness in our constituency. The Sagnarigu township and a host of others have also been earmarked for massive extension of electricity to every nook and cranny. Finally, in collaboration with the Sagnarigu District Assembly, we have connected street lights to sensitive locations in the district capital of Sagnarigu, Kogni, Malshegu, Kasalgu, Sognaayili and Gurugu. I wish to thank all stakeholders in the constituency; the Chiefs and elders, Opinion leaders and our zealous young men and women for their unflinching support, patience and genuine criticisms.
