The Metal Surgeon is hiring! automotive/car restoration tech (denver) compensation: per experience, $30/hour We are looking for experienced, skilled, car restoration technicians to work in the classic restoration industry. Must have own tools, be able to work some Saturdays, have a good attitude, and work in a team. You must be very good mechanically and be good at engineering and problem solving. Our company restores classic and vintage cars to original and also does custom builds. Responsibilities -Body work entire cars -Removing, fabricating, attaching, and aligning parts (door and hood/trunk gapping); repairing small dents; filling and sealing depressions, sanding, smoothing, and feather edging -Small patch repairs welded in, cleaned and prepped for bodywork -Update/modernize drive train -Wire electrical components (new wires for complete car, add wiring for new systems such as AC or air ride) -Keep track of materials used -Clean up daily -Disassemble vehicles while keeping parts and accessories organized. Also, be able to assemble car efficiently. Requirements -At least 5 years restoration experience (collision not applicable) -Knowledge of mechanics -Knowledge of welding techniques -Attention to detail -High School Diploma or equivalent -Photographs of your workmanship Location South Denver-metro, Colorado These positions are full time.
