The Morning Report Another day has begun and it will be a great one, because I’m able to get up (with all the aches and pains) and do something. We sit around and talk about how messed up congress is but do we realize that we are the cause of it. We are the ones who put these things (I don’t think I want to call them folks or people) up there and by doing that we are responsible for their actions. I’ve heard that term limits need to be enacted and I disagree. We already have term limits, they are called elections. These elections are held so we can determine who we want in office, if we don’t like what the person who is in office, is doing; we should vote him/her out; if we like what they are doing; keep them in office. Apparently we have liked what they are doing because we keep electing them. If we don’t like them and want them removed, we should work at getting them removed by campaigning against them, getting our friends and neighbors to VOTE against them and get them removed. The best way to hurt them is to fire them and to fire them that means that they lose the election and we are responsible for that. I would really like to go to the polls and vote for somebody instead of against somebody else. I’ve tried to remember how long it has been since I’ve been able to do that in the national elections and can’t really remember. I do feel that most of them go to Washington with good intentions but shortly after getting their; they are corrupted by their colleges and their party affiliations. I didn’t do a whole lot yesterday but talk with a long time neighbor and very dear friend. She is about to have major surgery and we will be hoping and praying for her to get well quick. The tractor was unloaded from the trailer and pulled out the truck that was stuck that was delivering the load of political rhetoric (horse manure). Today I need to pile up all of this political rhetoric and get rid of the plastic under it. Along about the first of the year, I will spread it on the hay fields; it is the only political rhetoric that I know of that does any good.
