The Mount Saur (also written as Thawr) in Makkah has on its top 2 special caves. The Prophet (as) with his close friend, Abu Bakr (ra), hid in one of them for 3 days during his Migration to Madinah (Hijrah) to hide from the Kuffar of Makkah who tried all ways to kill the Prophet (as). But, Allah bestowed on him a miraculous protection through spider webs & pigeons lying eggs at the entrance of the cave. The Kuffar were amazingly fooled! But, climbing that mount is so tiresome work indeed. I climbed it to realize a little of how the Prophet (as) might have had felt. We climbed up 5,413 ft as it was written on its top! My legs were almost out of order for that day, but the feeling & experience that has been inscribed in my heart & memory has no parallel. If you have enough courage to climb a high rocky mountain & get an extra ordinary experience, you may plan for it next time, in sha Allah. :-)
