The National Veterans Legal Services Program (NVLSP) provides free legal representation to veterans with applications for combat-related special compensation (CRSC) through its Lawyers Serving Warriors® project. We’ve assisted hundreds of veterans in getting retroactive CRSC awards of nearly $600,000 and average prospective monthly tax-free payments of $260. To be eligible for free legal assistance with an application for CRSC through Lawyers Serving Warriors®, a veteran must currently (1) be permanently retired for disability or on the TDRL; (2) be entitled to service-connected disability compensation from the VA; and (3) believe that one of more of the disabilities that have been service-connected by the VA are combat-related. Veterans from all eras are eligible to apply for CRSC. Please help us publicize our free legal assistance to veterans who may qualify for CRSC.
