The National Youth Council of Ireland, Union of Students Ireland and SpunOut.ie will host a hustings of candidates from the Midlands-North West European Parliament constituency tomorrow in NUIG. The event will take place in Lecture Hall IT250 from 6pm to 8pm. The hustings will focus on issues affecting young people such as higher education funding, the youth guarantee, environment and other issues. The candidates taking part in the event are Thomas Byrne (Fianna Fail), Matt Carthy (Sinn Fein), Mark Dearey (Green Party), Luke Ming Flanagan (Independent), Pat the Cope Gallagher (Fianna Fail), and Lorraine Higgins (Labour).
