The New Sam Rivers Rivbea Orchestra, at Wills Pub: Sam Rivers’ live big band jazz music will be returning to Orlando every last Wednesday of the month beginning in February 2014. Jazz icon, composer, musician and Rivbea Orchestra founding member Sam Rivers passed away in late 2011. Since that time his orchestra has been playing Rivers’ compositions in weekly rehearsal sessions and performed them for the public in a 2 show series at Wills Pub in the fall of 2013. They are proud to bring The New Sam Rivers’ Rivbea Orchestra to Will’s Pub where Sam Rivers’ big band jazz music was regularly performed on Wednesday nights in 2004 establishing a new Wednesday tradition in Orlando with The New Sam Rivers Rivbea Orchestra in 2014.
