The New Year which I intended to be a quiet one started with a little excitement in my neighborhood. Well actually the section 8 neighborhood across the lake, which is a mere 50 yards max from my front door. As I was sitting at my table reassembling my newly powder coated luggage rack I hear some fire crackers go off at the house directly horizontal to mine. At this particular residence there is always a gathering of older teenagers. They are not only kids of color they are white as well. They frequently have gatherings, playing music and having fun. I have no problem with that. Better at their home than on the streets---so I thought. Just a week ago a couple of my direct neighbors told me that they heard gun fire from that group. My questions were, are you sure? and did you dial 911? Discharging a fire arm in city limits isl illegal. Their answers were yes we were sure (one is former military) and the other answer was no we didnt. Ok I informed them next time they need to call 911. Back to last night---As I am sitting their doing my thing I hear what was without question many shots from a semi automatic weapon. I picked up my phone walked out side on the porch and dialed 911. I told the officer the location of the gun fire. I assured him I knew the difference between that and fire crackers. I asked him to please get LEOs to the scene as I had no idea if they were shooting into the complex or the lake. He asked if i was out of the line of fire and I said yes. However I assured him if a bullet hits my house there would be a problem as I would defend my family. He said he would send people out and asked if I wanted to see an officer. I said sure, why not.. I have no fear of the law as I do not break it. A full 30 minutes later :-)( I get a knock on the door and I am greeted by two PBSOs. We greeted each other and again I explained what happened. I asked if they had sent someone over and it was clear they were there just to fulfill a report and not to go and investigate. They assured me they would be in the area for the next 30 minutes as they were swamped. I also asked them if I look like the kind of guy that wouldnt defend his family if necessary and they need to put a stop to this shit. They agreed and reminded me that the neighborhood across the lake was bad. So, whats my point? The point is, the climate that has been set in this country by the lawless, racist, anti LEO president, AG, Al Sharpton, the BCC, NAACP, Mayor De Blasio and others has set officers into complacency mode and uncertainty in doing their jobs. It was much easier to come talk to the complainer than go handle what could have been a deadly situation for those involved. Liberal Constitutional Lawyer Jonathan Turley stated that if a president is allowed to go unchecked in breaking the law citizens will think it is ok for them. He also says the silence of the left on Obama’s lawlessness is bordering on a cult of personality for the left. I witnessed that last night. Lawlessness in Government results in lawlessness among citizens. Putting a thumb on Law Enforcement and throwing them under the bus results in their lack of desire to enforce the law. I truly believe this Criminal in the white house and his ilk would love riots between the races to explode in order to keep hold on their power via Martial law. Experiment: I have made it a point to say hello and communicate with people of color when out shopping or in general for a couple of reasons. First: I want to see their reaction to me. If they are taken back or ignore me or react negatively. Secondly I like black people in general. Most are friendly and funny when prompted. My experience: they are friendly and funny when prompted. My conclusion: After all of this ranting is that it is a minority of lawbreakers that are pushing the threshold of indecency and racial discord. However, we have found out that the silent majority is just that, silent. We must not be silent in our beliefs and convictions. We must not be uncertain to say what we feel and know is the truth. We are in a free society. Freedom will diminish if we dont speak out. We must support our law enforcement and denounce the race baiters and the cop haters in our government. If not anarchy will break out or worse a race war. One last point---as we should do the above we also must realize we cant depend on them(Law Enforcement) to run to our aid for every complaint, even gun shots. So we must be prepared to defend ourselves, family and friends if that situation arises. Frankly, the LEOs that came to me last night had no problem with my statement of self defending if necessary. I could see the apprehension in the younger ones face when I asked if they were heading across the lake. HAPPY NEW YEAR ALL.!!!!
