The New Yorker magazine cover (April 28) features this art by Bruce McCall, who muses on the sheer absurdity of having horse-drawn carriages in midtown Manhattan. A nineteenth-century traffic jam in this day and age seems silly, he writes. The piece mentions the bogus poll that is a product of the biased news media, but hes correct in observing that its just plain wrong to have these slow-moving 19th-century conveyances in a metropolis like New York City.
