The Nigeria Space Research and Development Agency (NSRDA) has predicted a partial solar eclipse in Nigeria today. The eclipse will come in three phases, a partial eclipse at about 12:50pm when the moon will touch the edge of the sun; the maximum eclipse shortly before 3:00pm when the moon is expected to be closest to the centre and shortly after 4:00pm when the moon will leave the suns edge. This being a rare and spectacular site to behold people will be tempted to watch, but since looking directly at the sun leads to permanent eye damage and even blindness due to exposure to hazardous rays. I hereby advice my friends to desist from viewing the eclipse come sunday. If you must do so, view with sunshade with UV PROTECTION or use the indirect viewing techniques. Please share this information to your friends and love ones by broadcasting. Good morning HSD
