The Norroena Heathen Eddas! The Norroena Society pieced these works together so that our folk would have a collection of lore to call our own. These are the original sources pieced together into a coherent epic, telling the stories of our Gods from Ginnungagap to Ragnarok. There were times when we had to use research to fill in the gaps, but such was necessary for us to have a full body of sacred lore. The Asatru Edda, while written in English, utilizes Old Norse terms to give a feel for the original texts, while The Odinist Edda is more Anglicized in its presentation. These works allow us to initiate a storytelling tradition that is our own, separated from the Christianized accounts or dry academic treatments. We are not here to establish dogma, but rather to build something that we can call our own.These books were written to reclaim this aspect of our heritage that was stolen from us so long ago, and together we can all work to move past the era of displacement once and for all!
