The OML is looking for students to participate in the Kwanzaa - TopicsExpress

The OML is looking for students to participate in the Kwanzaa Celebration that will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 4 from 5pm - 7pm in the Presidents Lounge. Kwanzaa is an African-American cultural festival beginning on December 26 and ending on January 1. The festival was created in 1966 by Dr. Maulana Ron Karenga. Dr. Karengas goal was to establish a holiday that would facilitate African-American goals of building a strong family, learning about African-American history, and developing unity. It is a cultural holiday, and not a religious holiday. We are looking for students to help out in a number of ways. Please let me know if you are interested in performing or helping out with this event and whatd youd like to do. We are looking for hosts, greeters, readers, spoken word artists, dancers, singers, actors, musicians, etc. Anyone that can help us celebrate African American culture and tradition. ALL students are welcome to participate.
