The PTA Clothing Center needs your help Thursday, October 2nd 9:30AM - 1:30PM This is Arleta Schools day to provide volunteers for the Clothing Center located on the Marshall High campus. This fall the center has been serving 35-45 PPS students a day. Volunteers will help students pick out clothing or to help sort clothing donations. The center is running low on boys and girls jeans and shirts size 4-12, warm coats as well as pre-teen sizes. You can donate clothing items at the PTA Clothing Center or at the Arleta School office. Since 1964, the PTA Clothing Center has given age-appropriate clothing to children in Portland Public Schools. By caring for the basic needs of youth and allowing them to dress as their peers, the center encourages positive self-esteem, academic success and regular class attendance.In addition, a student aid fund provides money for shoes, eye exams, class materials and more.
