The Pakistani media used to be a great deal more robust and independent, especially during military rule. Theyve lost some (though by no means all) steam, so its great to see citizens step up on social media. Check out #AskGHQ, a direct challenge to the Armys General Headquarters. Yes, poor people are generally left out so its not the same as, say, an election. But since the political class routinely ignores its mandate once in office, somethings better than nothing!
