The Passing of Joan Ceo It is with profound sadness that we inform you of the passing Joan Ceo, one of the most beloved members of the extended Chorus of Westerly and Twelfth Night family. Joan had been battling an aggressive cancer for some time and left us earlier this evening. If you did not know Joan, you certainly at one point heard her if you had come to any of our concerts. Joan was our harpist forever. With a few exceptions, Joans been a part of most every musical project weve produced for more than four decades. She was an incredible musician who could play anything we put in front of her. Where you might have also heard Joan, though, was at Twelfth Night. She missed only one in its history. Every year that passed, Joans music, Joans touch on that harp, was felt in each and every show. You might not first think of her when you think of Twelfth Night, but you sure would think of Twelfth Night if you heard her play. And, let us not forget the Peasants Feast! What would the Feast have ever been without the stunning harp interludes drifting across our hall each every year? Joan had a beautiful soul too. One of the kindest, gentlest, and most positive people you will ever meet. She, along with her husband Joe - who still faithfully plays in our viola section - have always been two of our very best supporters. They might not have sung all those gigs in the Chorus, but they always were there with us making such great things happen. The Ceos are such a big part of our collective family. In this historic and monumental Twelfth Night weekend, we have lost one of our family hear in this hall, but we rejoice in having a new angel in heaven watching over us and sending us love and joy from on high. The angels have one heck of a new harpist in their group. We do not have service arrangements but we will pass them along as we are able. Thank you, Joan, for your love and talents for decades. You will be dearly, dearly missed. - RS
