The Phoenix Public Library has a Chick Lit genre section. I can see it now: Today was Flight Day. The border of the nest with its stray twigs, dry as ones lips (if we had any) in the Chicago winds, were lined with trembling, frail cotton balls. They shivered in anticipation for The Push, the moment when mother lovingly nudges us to our deaths hundreds of feet below. Soon enough, my turn arrived. The air ruffled my feathers as my body cut through it. This is it, I thought to myself, Ill never get to eat digested worms again. At that moment, everything changed.
