The Pike County Animal Shelter has several cats that are in need of foster homes. These cats have upper respiratory infections and need a secluded place away from other cats to stay and take their medicine until they are well. If you can foster one or more of these cats please contact the Pike County Animal Shelter at 432-6293. They cannot be kept with the well cats at the shelter and are at risk. If you cannot foster but would like to donate money for their meds please email appalachiankitties@gmail or visit appalachianspca.org and use the Paypal link to make a donation (please include in the note that it is for the shelter cats). There are antibiotic shots the vet can give but they are much more expensive than the oral antibiotics. Together, we can save these cats and give them a second chance at life!
