For decades, no one would believe me that some time in the mid-1970s (IMDb lists it as being released in 1975; my memory places it as being earlier, perhaps 1973), I saw a full-length animated feature film with the unlikely title GUITAR PICKS & ROACH CLIPS at the Cinerama Theater on University Avenue in San Diego, the same theater in which I saw ITS A MAD, MAD, MAD, MAD WORLD ten years earlier! Fortunately, the Internet has provided proof (in the form of these two newspaper ads) that I wasnt merely hallucinating it! (Youll note their less-than-subtle hints to see the movie while stoned!) Does anyone else, Jan Tonnesen or Jessie Mackenzie-Rosenberg perhaps, remember this lost cartoon?
